And Chowder goes home. . .

Well, Whoever put "Chowder" in our yard for us, don't worry! We found his true home. We placed an add in the Post Register and the same afternoon, his Daddy came to get him. So, in the future, before you do another good deed for us, count the dogs already at our house! :) ( We are not running a "Hotel for Dogs" here!)
His daddy was overjoyed to get him back and showed us the depth of his adoration for his dog with the tattoo of "Chowder" (we didn't even ask his real name) on his chest. Plus we got some gourmet hot cocoa as a reward!

We have a 10 year old!!! Yikes!

Katie is officially a "tweenager" now.
We cannot believe we have been parents for 10 years now.
It has been a great 10 years. I remember worrying that we would end up with a super serious child and that she would be annoyed/embarrassed with her goofy parents.
Well, we NEVER needed to worry about that! She is the complete goof. Silly as it gets.
We've had a blast.
For her birthday party she wanted a SPA party!!
We had so much fun. There were 10 girls (including Katie) Only 2 didn't come. We had chocolate covered strawberries, sparkling apple cider, facials, manicures, pedicures, and a lot of giggling! There was minimal drama, so we are calling it a success!! (Drama was 10 girls not able to agree upon one movie. Luckily Aunt Chalene delivered. Her gift- Disney I Sing. Those girls were ROCKING out. Well, most of them. There was a little drama about that too! Who knew Hannah Montana isn't wholesome enough??)

Here is THE SHOT.
10 little beauties. Isn't that too fun??

One of Katie's gifts: Fake Nails.

Where did she come from???

Here's some girls having a pedicure.

So relaxing.

Here's the Fruit Pizza.
Perfect for a SPA. You know, healthy, natural fruit.
It was SO good.

Here she is on her actual birthday.
Thanks for the cake, Grandma!
She blew them ALL out in one shot!
Hope it was a good wish!!

She got the cute little tiara in a "suitcase full of makeup" that she bought with her birthday money from Uncle Christopher! It's a girly girl's dream come true, I tell you.

Grandma and Grandpa got her just what she wanted. A DIGITAL CAMERA!!

Nancy Drew!! I hope she loves it as much as I did!

All in all, it was a fun birthday week. She was spoiled, I hope not too rotten.
And she still has birthday money to spend from Grammy and Papa!
She has big plans for it. . .
Katie, we love you SOOO much, and we can't imagine life without you!!

We got home the other night to find THREE dogs at our house. We don't want THREE dogs. We barely want our two dogs. We think someone saw this dog, thought he looked like our dog Goliath, and was so helpful to put him in our yard for us. We're only guessing of course, and we're unsure how the helpful person didn't notice our much bigger dog already home in his yard.
So now we have an extra dog our kids have lovingly named "Chowder". He is a really good dog and seems well behaved. We'd even be willing to trade! Our bad dog for your better dog!! What do you think?? ( I should have prefaced all of this by saying we would never give up our horrid, awful, pathetic, enormous, rude, Goliath. We will continue feeding and caring for him until he leaves this world)
So if this sweet dog is yours, or if you know where he lives, please let us know!! Dog food is expensive! And he doesn't seem to want to leave.
