These are just some random pictures I had in my camera that I thought I should stick on here. They are in no particular order.

This is Olivia sleeping while standing, well, leaning against her bed. She was in the middle of getting jammies on. It was kind of quiet and so this is what I found on investigation. She must have really worn herself out that day!

Katie and Goliath. He is so big. And made of stupid. Lucky for him, he's a great looking dog. Truly its what keeps him with us.

One day we had the barest SKIFF of snow. The girls had to get COMPLETELY dressed to go "play in the snow". Livvie was quite excited.

Here they are in their matching coats. Seemed like a good idea until Rebekah kept accidentally wearing Livvie's. We drew a star on the tag of one so they'd know which one to put on.

This is Jack on his baptism day. It was a good day. Even if he's eyes are closed in this particular picture.

We actually decorated our trunk for Trunk-or Treat this year. It was fun and the weather was fantastic.

Jack was Darth Vader

Katie was a medieval princess/princess leia

Olivia was a Lion and Bekah was Fiona again. Rebekah was really excited about wearing makeup. Not so excited to take a picture.

The whole bunch.

What Mykalee thought of the Twilight Movie (SPOILER WARNING)

First, of all, I LOVED the books. I loved the romance, the vampire world, and the awesome action. The perfect ingredients for an outstanding movie, right? Well, no.
There were only brief moments when I could see how much Edward loved Bella. I didn't get that overwhelming protectiveness, can't stand to be away from you kind of a feeling from Edward, just brief glimpses of it. (Like the neck kiss in the Gazebo)
Bella seemed so sullen through the movie. I didn't get how much she was "dazzled" by Edward at all.
The movie was so choppy and had no flow. It made Bella seem suicidal. It didn't seem like she was into Edward so much it didn't matter that he was a vampire, it seemed like she just didn't care for her own life and made a poor decision.
The special effects were pathetic. He has amazing "superhero" skills that could have been so great in a movie. Yet it all seemed so cheesy. It was just silly when he was showing Bella how fast and strong he was, and the whole tree climbing, jumping thing was just lame.
I did like the baseball game, and I liked Alice.
I thought the makeup on the vampires was weak. How did the town not see the pasty white vampires a mile away??
So, overall, the movie did not impress me. No offense to anyone who loved it. I'll still be your friend :0)
It just made me feel stupid for ever liking the books. I laughed a lot. I think it was unintenionally funny.
I think if they really vamp up the budget for the next one, it could be done better. Not sure I love the director either.
Interesting enough, people who haven't read the books and saw the movie are liking it. Not sure what that means.
Okay, I feel better now, had to get that off my chest.
I'll use Gina's 1-10 system here.
1 hating, and 10 best movie ever
I'm at a 3 on this one.

Finally, Jack's Birthday Pictures!

Jack turned 8 this October 9th! Due to some technical difficulties, I am just now getting his pictures blogged. He had a quiet night on his actual birthday with his favorite food (salmon, rice, and broccoli) and chocolate cake. Then, for his "party" he invited EVERY boy in his 2nd grade class. He chose a "halloween theme" for the party.
Everyone dressed up.

It was LOUD.
We thought it would never end.
It was the best night of his life.

This was full of homemade rootbeer and dry ice for that creepy effect. The boys loved it.

This was the inevitable dive for candy after the pinata burst.

Jack opening presents.

Jack and his Jack 'O'Lantern cake.

Jack = Darth Vader

The cake

His cake on his actual Birthday. Our EIGHT year old boy!

I decided I wanted to do a party for Candace Sautter, who sells Scensty, but my evenings all fill up so fast, I thought- lets do it during the day! Kids can play downstairs with my kids and it will be so fun.
Just for coming you get a FREE SCENT!
If you can't make at that time for any reason but are still interested, I'll have the scents at my house until Friday. You can stop on by and check it out.
This is a great Christmas gift idea! Come get some shopping done and see some good friends, bring some good friends, and have fun!

Carving Pumpkins

This year Katie decided she was too cool to carve pumpkins with us, so her pic is just her outside on the deck.

Rebekah wanted to carve one of our spaghetti squash this year. It was much harder than the pumpkins, but she was so happy.

Olivia had so much fun with the whole thing!

We ended up carving our pumpkins on November 1st this year, because of our crazy schedules. I was ready to bag the whole thing, but Jack insisited. Strongly. He brought in the pumpkins and set it all up.

He designed and carved it all by his lonesome and loved every minute of it. Really. He just doesn't like his picture being taken.

Grammy & Papa came to visit!

Grammy and Papa with the gang

Hogle Zoo- Me and the monkeys

Four Crazy Yeagers at the zoo

Papa and Olivia

Scotty, Jack, Me (and the redheads) on the deck at the Miner's Club in Park City

Kids and a dolled up moose in Park City, UT

Scott's parents just paid us a visit from Chicago! We spent the first three days in Park City, thanks to our friends and neighbors, the Wilsons. We had a great time and loved staying in The Miner's Club with them. We relaxed in the hot tub, watched movies, ate great food and went to Hogle Zoo. Then, we came back to Idaho Falls and ate more great food and spent some time with my family that was in town. Scott and I even got to go camping for one night alone! We had a bunch of fun. Thanks for coming to visit Grammy and Papa!

Livvie: "Mom, I have something in my nose."

Me: "Is it a booger?"

Livvie: "It's red"

Me: "Where did you get it?"

Livvie: "From Santa"

(Just to clarify, she never did stick her finger in there. She just knew it was there. So, she was just guessing the color- its not as gross as it sounds)

Quirky Me

I was just tagged by Brandy

Here are the rules:
1. Link the person(s) who tagged you

2. Mention the rules on your blog

3. Tell about 6 unspectacular quirks of yours

4. Tag 6 fellow bloggers by linking them

1. I HAVE to have my bed made "just right" in order for me to sleep well at night. We're talking hopsital corners, everything tucked in nice and tight. On days when we didn't get the bed made, we have to make it before we go to bed! According to my mom, I have been this way since I was two.

2. When I get excited about something, my "s" sounds become very pronounced. Usually it's when its about something really nerdy, like organizing, labeling, filling out forms, planning, making lists. Scott mocks me mercilessly for this one.

3. I have the "gift" of thinking of a PERFECT idea just seconds too late. Just as we drive away, I'll say, "oh, we should have..." In so many situations, I 'll come up with the best solution just as it's impossible. Frustrating.

4. As Scott tells it, I have the fashion sense of an ardvark. (I guess they don't know much about good fashion). I have no idea what I am doing in this area. I HATE shopping, and don't know where to look when I do go. Most of the time, Scott decides I look like garbage and need new clothes, takes me to a store, shoves me in a dressing room, and then proceeds to pick out clothes and have me try them on. So, if there is ever a time when you think I might actually look okay, Scott probably bought it, and picked it out for me !

5. I am unnaturally clumsy. I have no grace or style. I bump into things, drop things, run into walls, trip on flat surfaces. In any physical area, I always make it look harder than it is! Scott mocks me on this one by calling me "gracie".

6. I can't stand wearing socks. I will for certain shoes that require them, but my feet get too hot and need to breathe! I love being barefoot. Also, I have sweaty palms. Not just when I'm nervous. I guess that's two quirks.

I don't know who has already been tagged with this one, so if you haven't been tagged, go for it.
I tag Stacey, Anita, Takara, Shae, Gina, Camille, Stephanie G., Becky, Melissa M., Dani, Melissa B., Kari, Erinn, Charla, and anyone else I have forgotten

Anyone for Tennis? Happy Birthday to me!

My birthday was yesterday-one of my recent best. I had so much fun with Scott. He bought me a tennis racket and gave me a tennis lesson! I had mentioned to him in the past that I'd like to learn to play, and of course he can play any sport.
I laughed my butt off being the clumsy, non athletic, non graceful person that I am... I am sure anyone watching would have enjoyed the hilarity of it all... I really enjoyed the whole day.

I also got to hold our friends' new baby, born on my birthday. I was worried I would walk away wanting my own, but what do you know? I was fine. As I left I was thinking, " I love new babies, I am so glad I got to hold her, but I am going to sleep so well tonight! And when I want to hold her again, I'll just go visit! And give her back when she cries or poops!"

Then, my parents had a birthday dinner for me at their house. Great food. My mom made me a delicious chocolate cake with ice cream. Thank you!

The weather was PERFECT. I couldn't have asked for a better day! I loved it.

This is a goofy shot of Olivia with all her presents, I'm not sure what she's doing with her mouth, but it's so funny. This was a hard birthday for me, knowing that the caboose in our little family is getting older. No more babies:(

Not really sure what she's doing here either. Her only request for her birthday was: PINK.

She wanted a pink cake and pink presents. My mom made her a strawberry shortcake with the whipped cream tinted pink. So yummy! Thanks, Mom!

She had a fun day and is still loving all the "PINK" she got! And truly, I gotta remind myself that having the youngest turn three isn't so bad, we don't have midnight feedings, diaper changes, and crying babies anymore, everyone can walk on their own now... We're embarking on a new, exciting part of our family life now! We can do things we couldn't with babies holding us back, and really no one here wants to experience another Mykalee type of pregnancy EVER again!

1st Day of School, Lost tooth, and other exciting events

Katie is in 4th Grade!!

Jack is in 2nd Grade!

Rebekah is in Kindergarten!

Jack lost another tooth, his 3rd, I think

Olivia HAD to have a backpack with a few school supplies in it for the 1st day of school. However, it didn't end there! She is OBSESSED with her backpack. She takes it everywhere with her, and always keeps her favorite things in it. She even takes it to bed with her at night! So, far, it hasn't been bad for her to be the only one at home- she has stayed so busy with her "packpack"!

Last Saturday, while I was talking with someone from church, who had come over, the girls had been painting with watercolors..... it turned into face painting! I wasn't too upset since it was watercolors and it was just about time for Saturday night baths anyway.

The other morning, I went in to wake up the girls, and this is what I found. Both of them awake and sharing Bekah's bed!

Camera Battery!

So, we went camping last weekend. I forgot to change the battery in the camera before we left! Shame on me, I know. We had so much fun, too.
We went with some friends and had good times. We went to the Pocatello KOA- don't laugh. It really was fun. We went to the Pocatello Zoo and Ross Park. We enjoyed dutch oven dinner and homemade root beer. Oh and a wonderful lightening, rain, wind storm. It just stormed enough to scare the kids into the tents and then calmed down for all the adults to enjoy sitting around the campfire talking.
You'll just have to imagine this, of course. Now, I am going to change the battery for the camera- tomorrow is my children's first day of school. I'm going to need to document that.

Audrey Hepburn's Beauty Tips

Not to steal everything from your blog, Stacey, but I really liked this and thought this would be the easiest way to share it.

I guess when Audrey Hepburn was asked for "beauty tips" this is what she gave:

  • For attractive lips, speak words of kindness.

  • For lovely eyes, seek out the good in people.

  • For a slim figure, share your food with the hungry.

  • For beautiful hair, let a child run his or her fingersthrough it once a day.

  • For poise, walk with the knowledge that you never walkalone.

  • People, even more than things, have to be restored, renewed, revived, reclaimed and redeemed; never throwout anyone.

  • Remember, if you ever need a helping hand, you'll findone at the end of each of your arms. As you growolder, you will discover that you have two hands, onefor helping yourself, the other for helping others.

  • The beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure that she carries, or the way she combs herhair. The beauty of a woman must be seen in her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart, the place wherelove resides.

  • The beauty of a woman is not in a facial mode, but thetrue beauty in a woman is reflected in her soul. It is thecaring that she lovingly gives, the passion that she shows.

Well, our date night the other night, as date nights for us often do, turned into running errands again. That's not necessarily a bad thing. We really enjoy each other's company and things do need to be done.

Well, one of the "errands" we ran on Friday night was MATTRESS SHOPPING! We were in the market, as it were. We had been ready for some time to "updgrade" to a King from our Queen.

Really, Scott is HUGE, and I think I'm above average for a girl, size wise. So, we were due.

Anyway, we picked it out Fri. night, Saturday, we compared with others around town, and then went back to buy our bed.

Which means, we put our bed in the guest room (which had been sitting empty for about 11 months)! So, now we have a beautiful guest room, so come on over any time!

WOO HOO!! We are finally going on a date tonight! I can't remember the last time we got to go out alone.
I have no idea what we are doing, and I don't even care. I am just excited to spend some uninterrupted time alone with my hubby. We have so much fun together, it doesn't matter what we do.
So, as soon as Scott and Jack get back from Taikwondo, off we go!

As a 1930s wife, I am
Very Superior

Take the test!

This is a fun little test I got from my friend's blog. How nice to know I am a good wife in the 30's. That really helps in 2008. I would have scored higher, but I had to be honest and I don't mend clothes and darn socks regularly!!

Truly, though, I do try to be a good wife and take good care of Scott. He does the same for me. Isn't that how it's supposed to work? If we each take care of each other, no one has to take care of him/herself!

So, I had Scott take it, too...

As a 1930s husband, I am
Very Superior

Take the test!

Now, I think we'll take them for each other and see if we were being too generous or hard on ourselves!

As a 1930s husband, I am
Very Superior

Take the test!

As a 1930s wife, I am
Very Superior

Take the test!

Here are the ones we took for each other!

I think its easier for the guys to score big on this one, because really, they didn't expect much of husbands back then, did they???
